Dear Friends,

Happy hot days of summer! First, an invitation. For those who missed the April and May open houses, I'm having an additional open house next week on Sunday July 13 from 2:00-5:30 pm. Wine, cheese, and a chance to visit and see a few new paintings. I hope you will be able to come!

I am working on a new series of Nitinat Lake; and finishing a few more of the long-horizontal series of landscapes from Spain. I'm also working on commissions this summer. If you would like to commission a work, this would be a great time to talk. Give me a call to discuss the subject, size and media.

I'm excited to announce that four paintings of the Kindertotentanz series will be exhibited in a larger exhibition "___________" at the American Visionary Art Museum, a beautiful world-class institution on the inner-harbour of Baltimore, Maryland. The exhibition opens October 2008 and runs until September 2009. I can tell you more about the exhibition and Museum in my next newsletter.

 In August 2008, I will begin advertising my artwork in Art in America, in addition to ongoing advertisements in Canadian Art and Preview Magazine. I'm also in discussions regarding exhibiting with two galleries, one in Seattle and one in Toronto.

I remain exceedingly in love with my wife Lyne Filiatrault and grateful for all of her support! I continue to work 60% time in the Emergency at Children's Hospital. The toxic political turbulence at BC Children's has not yet forced me to take up her offer to support me as an artist for one year!!
