Selected paintings from the series Views of Mount Baker: Homage to Hokusai will be exhibited by David Haughton at the Seattle Art Fair 2019. In honor of the opportunity, Haughton has painted three new large Mount Baker works, titled View from Balcony XII, XIII, and XIV. Haughton is one of thirteen artist-members showing with Gallery 110 at Booth G03. Twelve paintings from Haughton’s 80 Views of Mount Baker are being exhibited in Seattle for the first time.

The “Views of Mount Baker” paintings pay tribute to the Japanese artist Katsushika Hokusai, an artistic ‘hero’ of Haughton’s since his early adolescence. 80 Views of Mount Baker further developed Haughton’s series of 40+ Views and 40 Views with dramatic and intriguing views of the Washington State mountain and surrounding areas of the Northwest Coast.
